Upper Bucks County, Pennsylvania is a longtime renowned getaway for the artistic world. Tucked in among the pines and cedars of this beautiful countryside resides a small sheep farm. What began as the children's 4H project, has matured into Rocky Top Farm.
Marlene Halstead, the shepherdess at Rocky Top Farm lovingly tends to her sheep.
Marlene's sheep have been called to duty in animal assisted programs and therapeutic settings, dealing with children at risk with a myriad of difficulties.
Her sheep are able to do these tasks due to the patience and gentle hand used in raising them.
Each new crop of Spring lambs is raised to accept human interaction. As a result, they allow most any handling, which is unusual for the normally wary sheep.
